Hip Hop Photography

It is a well-known fact that hip-hop music is one of the most moving and effective forms of storytelling. This year, Central Studios’ annual Summer Fair is going to be centered around the community and history that hip-hop has cultivated in our society. During the event, we will exhibit some of our in-house photographer Shen Yi’s work, 「 江湖 」 – a personal project documenting the faces of Chinese rap. To get you all in the spirit leading up to our fair day, we listed a few of the greatest photographers, who have documented the genre’s progression exposing the true face of hip-hop.
