Production Team

Senior Producer

As a Senior Producer, you are an autonomous project manager driving the success of our content productions.  Understanding the clients needs and messaging objectives are essential in dissecting any creative briefs, as well as having the technical knowledge and production skills to execute effectively. 

 

With our own studio facility / creative space in Shanghai, we equally work in house and on location.  You will have a deep well of production resources and be well networked throughout the industry.  Having the  personality to manage large production crews and ensuring workplace safety is essential. 

Responsibilities

As Senior Producer, you will be an autonomous project manager, often running multiple projects across photography, print and video.

Manage all aspects of client relationship following complete project cycle ensuring all deliverables are met. Client communication, briefing, budgeting & negotiations, execution and delivery are all essential parts of the daily work.

Create and manage budgets & schedules to ensure the required production values are executed profitably and on schedule. The whole process from pre- to post-production must be managed.

Complete project management across photography or video executions managing internal teams, as well as external crew such as international and local artists, production crew, locations, casting and other resources required.

Requirements

University degree and at least 2+ years in a similar position and relevant industry experience

Excellent Chinese and English language skills both written and oral. Ability to translate between the two languages and write in a professional voice.

Excellent knowledge of excel/numbers to effectively manage budget templates and production documents.

Have a good eye for photography and design, ideally with practical experience creating images and video.

Be proactive and can work autonomously, planning and project managing working to strict deadlines.

Be prepared to work long hours and occasional weekends where required.

Creative Team

Art Director

As Art Director at CS, you will be directly working on creative development for asset creation for digital, print and film. 

 

A strong art background and design sense is essential, and you will understand our clients’ positioning to conceive outstanding visual and narrative ideas across digital and traditional media.

Responsibilities

Working on project pitches and execution across, print, video and digital, conceiving and designing creative ideas for various documents, pitches and shoot projects.

Work closely with the production team to supervise on set execution, working with photographers, directors and clients to ensure the creative direction is fulfilled according to the creative brief.

Mock up designs for shooting concepts including set designs, layouts and other visualizations.

Work alongside with our social teams to manage in house content and events, including VI and other touchpoints

Requirements

University degree and at least 5+ years in a similar position and relevant industry experience

Excellent knowledge of all design software including Adobe CC, 3D modelling and video editing software are all an advantage.

Excellent Chinese and English language skills both written and oral. Ability to translate between the two languages and write in a professional voice.

Video Production  Team

Head of Video

As a Head of Video of CS, you will need  to spearhead our motion production and help drive the growth the company.  You will have a deep knowledge of film production including the technical ability to direct and produce yourself as well as the experience to manage additional teams managing multiple concurrent projects.

 

Working across all forms of motion content, you will need to dissect any creative brief and clients needs, whether live action, animation or product shooting.  A working knowledge of various production,  post-production techniques/software, and equipment is essential.  With developments in modern production, you will also be tasked with building our capabilities across live and virtual productions.

Build our capabilities across developing technology in film production including virtual production, live broadcasts and other current trends in film production.

Complete project management managing internal teams, as well as external crew such as international and local artists, production crew, locations, casting and other resources required.

Requirements

University degree and at least 5+ years in a similar position and relevant industry experience.

Excellent Chinese and English language skills both written and oral. Ability to translate between the two languages and write in a professional voice.

Excellent knowledge of excel/numbers to effectively manage budget templates and production documents. Familiar with all types of video skills, including but not limited to shooting, proficient in the use of various shooting equipment, proficient in various editing special effects software like premiere/final cut pro/AE, etc.

Digital Team

Retoucher

As Senior Retoucher at Central Studios, you will be an experienced, hands-on retoucher and also responsible for overseeing and managing the retouching workload at our in house post department.

Responsibilities

Skillful at retouching skin, retaining texture and tone for high end fashion or beauty shots.

Ability to deep etch and composite images building challenging layouts when required.

Receive assets from shoot and transfer onto server, managing RAW file processing and retouching all the way to delivery.

Manage company’s digital assets and work with department to maintain and manage the safe and efficient storage of all digital assets.

Requirements

Comprehensive experience using Photoshop, Capture 1 and other common RAW file processing software and other browser platforms.

Thorough understanding of file formats, color management workflow and industry best practice.

A strong knowledge of Apple computers – hardware and software.

Strong understanding of RGB / CMYK color and preparation of files for digital needs.

Must be prepared to work long hours and occasional overtime, when required.

Sales Focused

Business Development Guru

We are looking for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT GURU to join our team to help drive sales and occupancy in our studio spaces.  Our photo studios are the leading studio spaces in Shanghai with an ideal downtown location and a great reputation for celebrity shoots as well as being a convenient creative space for corporate and brand events.  Our clients for both shooting and events are leading brands in the luxury, fashion and consumer goods industries as well as production industry players.

 

As a BD Guru at CS, you will be tasked with driving new business into our studios to increase occupancy and drive sales growth. 

 

A background in any of these areas will help you succeed in this role: i) brand sales and marketing; ii) event or hospitality industry sales and marketing; iii) community development; iv) PR management and buzz marketing.

Responsibilities

Responsible for creating lead generation opportunities to identify clients to rent our studio spaces for photoshoots and events.

Work with the operations teams to successfully convert leads into real bookings and meet monthly targets for both occupancy and revenue.

Cross sell other content production services offered by Central Studios to increase average revenue per client.

Identify brand partnerships offering our creative consulting and production services for content creation or experiential activations within our own space or external locations.

Conceive and help manage industry relevant and community events, all with a view to activate our studio spaces for increased lead generation

Identify advertising opportunities through various digital and industry related channels

Responsibilities

Responsibility for developing and executing marketing strategies and initiatives to generate increased sales, widespread brand awareness and buzz around our photo/video production, studios & event venue services.

Identifying new client opportunities and brand partnerships, conceiving and managing industry relevant and community events, all with a view to activate our studio spaces for increased lead germination opportunities and future business.

Work with our CRM system to generate and convert leads by engaging new leads sources as well as re-engaging existing customers.

Crafting of relevant communications strategy and coordinating the social media team to publish across our various social channels, including our own website, CRM marketing, Wechat, FB and other online channels

Digital Team

Assistant Video Editor

Entry level position to join our post-production department with amazing opportunity to grow and learn.

 

Our ideal person for this role will be technically minded, have a thirst for learning and be able to work as part of a team in a deadline driven environment.

Responsibilities

Work together with our video editor to create premium video projects for China and international audience.

Assist in preparing, editing and archiving projects for editing, including cutting, subtitling, and adding graphics.

Convert and process files ready for editing from multiple different camera formats.

Prepare basic motion graphics and color corrections.

Assist in managing the post-production schedules and communicating with our in-house production team.

Requirements

Good working knowledge of these editing software apps: Adobe Premier, Final Cut pro, Adobe After Effects, Da Vinci Resolve

Understanding of video formats, Prores, h.264, s-log, etc

Understanding of the shooting process and various camera source files.

Tech savvy - you know how to find solutions and be resourceful.

Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and intermediate level of English.
